Co-founded in 1964 by Walter Hachborn and headquartered in St. Jacobs, Ontario, the chain is co-operatively owned by over 1000 independently owned member stores, including one of them located in the French territory of Saint Pierre and Miquelon.

You can find housewares, hand and power tools, plumbing and electrical supplies, paint and painting supplies, sporting goods, plus automotive and farm supplies. Home Hardware stores also feature giftware and seasonal items, including lawn and garden supplies.

Home Hardware Building Centres offer a complete range of both hardware store and building centre products. Lumber, tools, paint, plumbing and electrical supplies and an extensive selection of building materials are available, along with housewares, sporting goods, automotive items and lawn and garden supplies.
